Insights into our weekly meal plans, nutritional philosophy, and sample menus.
Our Food Philosophy
At Marvelous Kids Daycare, we believe that healthy eating habits start early — and stick when food is both nutritious and toddler-approved. Our meals are fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully planned to fuel play, growth, and development throughout the day.
We steer clear of overly processed snacks and sugary treats. Instead, we serve up whole grains, a variety of fruits and veggies, and plenty of protein-packed options. Think simple, home-style meals made with care (and sometimes sneaky veggies).
Sample Weekly Menu
- Breakfast: Multigrain waffles with fruit, scrambled eggs & toast, yogurt & granola, oatmeal with banana
- Lunch: Veggie pasta with cheese, lentil curry with rice, quesadilla with beans, baked chicken with brown rice
- Snacks: Fresh fruit, whole grain crackers with cheese, hummus with cucumber, applesauce
Each week, meals rotate to keep things exciting — and to gently introduce new flavors and textures.
Milk Policy
We follow age-based milk recommendations from pediatric guidelines. For children over 12 months, we aim to serve up to 2 cups of whole milk per day. If your child is under 12 months or on a special diet, we’re happy to work with you to ensure their needs are met.
We provide milk at daycare, but parents are welcome to send an alternate milk option if preferred (e.g., oat milk, almond milk, etc.).
Food Allergies & Preferences
Please notify us of any dietary restrictions so we can accommodate.
Our meal plan only includes a vegetarian diet, but we are happy to serve any meat entrees you’d like to serve.
Parent Tips
- Let us know if your child is a picky eater — we’ve seen it all, and we’ll support gentle encouragement without pressure.
- If your child has a favorite fruit or meal at home, share it! We love trying familiar favorites.
- We encourage family-style eating when possible — meals are a time to socialize, model good habits, and explore new tastes together.
Final Note
We know that well-fed kids are happy, energetic, and ready to play — and that starts with a full belly and a fun table. Feel free to reach out anytime with questions about our menu or food policies.
P.S. Yes, we sometimes sneak zucchini into muffins. We’re those people.
